CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Army West Point senior Kelsey Minato and Bucknell freshman Kaitlyn Slagus were named the Lids Team Sports Patriot League Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week following their performances during the 16th week (Feb. 22-28) of the 2015-16 season. Minato earns her sixth weekly award this season and Slagus collects her fourth Rookie honor.

LIDS TEAM SPORTS PATRIOT LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
KELSEY MINATO, ARMY WEST POINT
 Sr., 5-8, G, Huntington Beach, Calif.
Minato totaled 53 points last week to bring her career total to 2,445 points - just 18 points shy of passing Molly Creamer's Patriot League record of 2,462. The senior netted 30 of her points in the Black Knights' first meeting with Boston University on Wednesday, connecting on 11-of-18 from the field and 6-of-10 from three-point distance. She also grabbed seven rebounds against the Terriers. At Lehigh on Saturday evening, she totaled 23 points and added seven assists, while snagging five steals. Minato's performance this week helped the Black Knights stay tied atop of the standings with Bucknell at 16-1, as she finished the week averaging 26.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 5.0 apg, 2.5 spg, with a .488 FG%, .478 3P%, and .667 FT%.

LIDS TEAM SPORTS PATRIOT LEAGUE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
KAITLYN SLAGUS, BUCKNELL Fr., 6-2, F, Belle Vernon, Pa.
Slagus earns her fourth rookie award, fifth total, of her young collegiate career after scoring in double figures in two-straight games to help the Bison stay tied a top of the standings with Army West Point at 16-1. The freshman tallied 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and three steals against Lafayette and followed that performance up with 13 points, three rebounds, and two assists against Navy. Slagus finished the week averaging 12.5 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 3.0 apg, 1.5 spg, with a .588 FG% (10-of-17), and .556 3FG% (5-of-9).

HONORABLE MENTION

LEXI MARTINS, LEHIGH Jr., 6-0, F, Irvington, N.Y.
Martins recorded her 1,000th career point during Saturday night's game against Army West Point to become the 18th Mountain Hawk to reach the milestone. The junior is also just the seventh player to join the program's 1,000 point/500 rebound club. She posted back-to-back double-doubles, 19 points and 14 rebounds versus Colgate and then 18 points and 10 rebounds against the Black Knights, to bring her season total to 22.

JOSIE STOCKILL, COLGATE Sr., 6-3, F, Napier, New Zealand
Stockill posted 18 points and a career-high 16 rebounds on Senior Day, notching her fourth double-double of the season, to help the Raiders to a 70-55 win over Lafayette on Saturday. Earlier in the week at Lehigh, she became the 20th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points and finished the game with 14.

CECILY CARL, AMERICAN Fr., 6-3, F, Mechanicsburg, Pa.
Carl was the leading scorer for the Eagles against Navy and Loyola Maryland, netting 13 points in each contest. The rookie also hauled in 10 rebounds against the Greyhounds to record her second double-double of the season. She also tallied a career-high three steals.

ANGELA RIBARICH, LAFAYETTE Fr., 6-5, C, Toronto, Ontario
Ribarich averaged 15.5 points per game, totaling 31 points in 42 minutes off the bench for the Leopards. The freshman led Lafayette in scoring against the Raiders on Saturday and also posted five rebounds and two blocks.
